Internet Dating for Performers

by

How do you date if you are traveling all the time? … and even if you are staying in one spot, you are either auditioning, working, developing your craft, or sleeping. So, where is there really time for a man? This is what I ask myself when I am starting to wonder why I don’t have a man in my life. I know it’s not completely hopeless because there are many people who have found “the one.”
There is one popular way to meet people - the internet. I am currently doing this myself. When initially writing down my location, I found myself totally unsure.
What do you write down for location? With all my travels and unpredictable life, what would I honestly call my home base? Within the last year, I spent most of my time in Illinois. I do have a permanent address in New York, but I’m hardly in the city. I say New York, but it’s all up in the air to me. And if I am not in New York and dating online, I am unable to meet that person because I am not there. Yeah, it’s hard to make it work.

Also, I get a little embarrassed when I am not doing a show. I am catering and babysitting - and these things are not important to me. I don’t want to be identified as a waiter. I like to call them survivor jobs cause they are not important enough to get an official title. Know what I mean?
Okay, I am just babbling a bit now, but as a performer, I am sure you can relate to how hard it is to date in any form if you are a performer. You agree?
